Michael has also been a litigation counsel, senior advisor, mediator and executive chairman, and in those roles, a breaker of logjams. He was named Top 25 Most Influential by Canadian Lawyer Magazine in 2019.

Adept at expanding the array of choices under consideration while remaining grounded in the practical, Michael developed his skills as a dispute resolution specialist across the spectrum: litigation, government, indigenous affairs, self-regulated professions, and human rights.
